Class Description

Techniques, methods, and instrumental literature applicable to Middle and High School band and orchestra ensembles.

In this section you will find my concert project. This consists of a poster, program, timeline and rational to explain why the compositions were chosen.

In this section you will find my playlist project. This was created to show my process behind choosing music for my students as well as explore underrepresented compositions

In this section you will find my chamber composition. This was created to show my ability to take an idea from another piece of music and create variations as well as arrange for an unusual chamber group instrumentation

In this section you will find my improvisation lesson materials. This lesson had the goal of allowing students to create their own melodies and ideas from a composition they were already rehearsing. To complete it, I had to find and extract harmonies, complex rhythms and a baseline from a composition.
